The problem with such foods is that they can be expensive, or they can have higher amounts of fats in order to substitute for the decreased taste and low sugar. Not all free diabetic diet plans, therefore, are designed for diabetics as much as they are designed for companies to cash in.
In general, however, a diabetes II diet will be high in soluble fibers, as these can flush out fats that contribute to making diabetes worse. The Type II diabetes diet plan will also require foods that are low in sodium, since people with diabetes are also prone to hypertension. The diet plan for diabetes Type II sufferers will have foods lower in saturated fats, as people suffering from the disease can also run the risk of cardiovascular disease. Lastly, the diet plan for Type II diabetes sufferers will include a few foods with a low glycemic index, in order to ease the metabolic load on the body.
